Dr Rachael Wheatley is a Registered and Chartered Forensic Psychologist Practitioner in Independent Practice, also employed as a Professional Psychological Practice Programme Director at the University of Derby.

For 21 years, Rachael has worked for Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Services (UK) Psychology Service Group as a forensic psychologist undertaking risk assessments within various custodial settings for differing client groups, and has spent the last 8 years within senior leadership roles. Rachael has specialised in working with people who have stalked since 2010. She has completed her Doctor of Psychology Degree on what drives men who stalk and how practitioners can best respond to their needs, publishing widely on this topic. Rachael was a lead author on the recently published BPS practitioner guide for psychologist working with those who have engaged in stalking and co-developed the Early Awareness Stalking Intervention (EASI) project with West Midlands Police, targeting those charged with stalking offences - which she has been clinical lead for since August 2021.
