Are you struggling with issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, emotional management, or phobias? Maybe I can help you on your journey toward understanding and healing yourself.

My Approach

Every person I meet has their own experiences, their own struggles, and their own strengths. Many clients I work with share one thing in common: they struggle to be kind to themselves. I work from the basis that helping people develop self-kindness will guide them towards ways to manage their suffering. The starting point for developing this kindness is a sense of safety. Whether your appointment is at the clinic in York or online, I will aim to create a space where you feel safe. This might be the safety to talk confidentially about aspects of your life that you have kept hidden, the safety to cry, to get angry, or even to laugh. I will help you open up to your thoughts and feelings in a safe way and guide you in making the changes you want.

My Experience

I began my practice in 2001 and became a Chartered Psychologist in 2005. I have worked in a variety of settings including the NHS, private hospitals, HM Prison and Probation Service, universities, and in the community.
