New Year
I am sitting in my living room and enjoying my first cup of tea of the year and something felt very different and I couldn't place it. Then I realised it was silence. I live on a main road and usually there is the lull of traffic going by that I thought I was good at zoning out of but I must always be aware of it because the silence is noticeable. This is New Year morning where a lot of people are having a lie in, some will be nursing a hangover or at least have a fuzzy head.

A happy and hard time of the year
My Christmas break has begun. I finished work at lunchtime on Friday and attended a great Christmas concert on Saturday night, some Carols, some oldies and some classic pop songs, accompanied by a string quartet, acoustic guitars and saxophone....it really got me in the Christmas spirit, so much so come Monday I was already wondering what day it is!
