Reflections

It's been a while...I've been busy working, relaxing and being poorly in equal measures since my last post, and so my blog fell to the bottom of the list.

I've been reflecting on the last 12 months (as a lot of us do at this time of year). I think 2023, although, not without challenges, was a better year personally for me than 2022. I think I have come out of the year stronger than I entered it, in part because I did some work on myself that was long overdue, but also some family health concerns saw a way forward. Professionally has also been a good year: 2 students I supervised became qualified; I have helped people on their recovery journey. Some of those people have gone on their merry way, some are still coming to see me. I continue to be grateful to be a part of that, to see the changes people make to themselves and their lives moving forward; I have worked productively with men who have been in prison and were ready to face the world again. I continue to embrace the diversity of my role and the pleasure I get from it all. I'm so glad I chose my job!

I ended 2023 by receiving a lovely thank you gift from a client (chocolates and flowers). I love chocolates and flowers so it was an amazing end to positive year. Thank you.
